Jazak:
with the Church OF THE HOLY TRINITY
On the southern slopes of Fruška Gora near Vrdnik at the end of the village Jazak stands the monastery of the same name. You can arrive there from the center of the Vrdnik Spa by going right - there is a road sign and in the center of Jazak village make a right turn and go straight to the monastery. In 1705 the remains of King Uroš the Young, the last in the royal Nemanjić dynasty lineage were brought here from Sudikove monastery near Nerodimlje on the river Lim. The remains have been moved many times and always returned to Jazak. When the already small church of the monastery Old Jazak became too small to accept visitors and worshipers of the remains of King Uroš in Gradac, the construction of todays New Jazak began, close to Old Jazak . Old Jazak was in time demolished. Today only remains stand there in its place. The monastery is active and is in the care of nuns.
