Near Irig on the slopes of Fruška Gora in tame environment this old monastery is situated surrounded by a park and chestnut trees. You can arrive to the monastery in many ways. Take the old Beograd - Novi Sad road to the turn for Maradik and in the center make a slight right turn downward and the road (about 5km) leads to Krušedol. From there just follow the signs for the monastery. You can also get there through Iriški venac where there are very visible signs for the monastery. The monastery's church which is dedicated to Happy tidings to the Mother Of God was built in the 16th century in the 1509 - 1512 period by Đorđe Branković. One of the treasures of the monastery is it's iconostasis. It comprises 36 icons. They have not been done simultaneously but originate from different periods and styles. Left of the entrance on the wall is the headstone of King Milan. Krušedol monastery is active, female and in the care of nuns. The church is surrounded by high guesthouses.
