This monastery is located in the village of Šišatovac, on the southwest slopes of Fruška Gora, along the Remeta stream, near Ležimir. It was errected by the monks of Žiča monastery on the foundations of the old church in 1520 that have deffected there from Serbia, fleeing from the Turks. The Turks later destroyed that church also and the new church we see today was built in 1758. The building of the contemporary church lasted 20 years. What attracts attention is its size which is almost monumental. It is mainly baroque in style with nine gothic windows. It is built of stone and brick. During WWII the dormatories were almost destroyed. They were hit by artillery. There is a nice park in the monastery's yard. Above it is the monastery's cemetary with the old chapel. The monastery is officially male. One monk and one nun are taking care of it.
